ICE FROM THE SUN (1999) - Synopsis
In the Dark Ages, an evil wizard named Ambolin
created another world, a dimension encased in ice. Within this
world, Ambolin and his apprentice played gods, slaughtering
innocent humans pulled in from Earth. The apprentice, known
as The Presence, grew more powerful with each human he killed.
The Presence took over the dimension within the ice and continued
butchering hundreds of humans. The Presence became such an evil
force that he was soon a common enemy to both the angels in
heaven and the devils in hell.
Now, the angels and the devils wish to join forces.
They plan to exterminate The Presence, but only a being of flesh
and blood can pass through the ice that encases his dimension.
The angels and the devils select a human from earth. Her name
is Alison. Alison is to be sent through the ice to assassinate
The Presence.
From the day the ice formed, encasing this land
of torture and bloodshed, The Presence would pull in from Earth
six humans every few years. One by one, The Presence would test
the limits of each person's sanity and physical endurance. And
one by one, each human would die violently. Once dead, the victims'
souls remain trapped in the ice. The Presence can then puppet
these souls, making them carry out his sadistic plans for the
next victim. This time, as the six selected humans pass into
the ice, Alison will secretly infiltrate as well. It will be
her mission to seek out The Presence. Alison will trek through
the chaos of this land, chilled by the screams of the dying
and the stench of the long dead.
The angels and the devils give Alison only one
weapon to battle The Presence. She must make him remember that
he was once a mortal man. The Presence must remember that he
once walked the Earth, was once afraid of death, and was once
able to love. If he remembers, the ice will melt away. Then
the angels and the devils may enter the dimension and destroy
The Presence. Alison does not know how she will make The Presence
remember his origins. She can only hope that when she confronts
him, she will find a way to reach into his past before The Presence
makes her yet another victim.
